Johnny Grubb


1995-96: Outfield and Hitting Coach

Grubb joined the Silver Bullets with experience that includes three years as a hitting coach for the Atlanta Braves.

A veteran of 16 years in the majors, Johnny posted a .278 career batting average and played for four different teams, beginning with the San Diego Padres in 1971. In 1974, he was named to the National League All-Star team. He was a member of the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers.

Grubb attended Florida State University and played for Team USA at the Pan America Games. He resides in Chesterfield, Virginia with his wife, Linda, and sons, Chris and Corey.
